            ESL was first founded in 1976 by President Raymond Sepe, Sr. who had used his engineering degree to make a career for himself at Bell Labs. This electrical engineering laboratory was initially the lab created by Alexander Graham Bell, widely known as the inventor of the first telephone. It was in this setting of American inspiration that Sepe formed the foundation of his idea to begin an electrical design company of his own. When naming Electro Standards, he even chose to keep “Laboratories” at the end of the company title in honor of Bell Labs.

            Today, Electro Standards continues the legacy of Bell’s ingenuity as Raymond Sepe, Sr.’s three sons have taken over the company as the acting Vice Presidents and CFO and carried it to new levels of success. With engineering degrees from WPI, MIT, and Cornell, the three brothers have held ESL to a continuous standard of high performance and welcomed a team of skilled engineers into the company that are eager to confront any design challenges they might come across and share their ideas as well. When it comes to both system design and business growth, the Sepe family has truly proven their ability to “enable technology to transform beyond” as demonstrated every day here at Electro Standards Laboratories.
