Shipping Terms

Shipments are made via UPS Ground, unless otherwise specified. Freight charges are prepaid and added to your invoice. We can estimate the freight costs for you.

We can ship freight collect on your account, just provide your UPS Account Number.

We can also ship via the carrier of your choice. Provide the details and your account number.

Products shall be shipped F.O.B. Electro Standards' facility. Title to and risk of loss or damage to the products shall pass to you upon Electro Standards delivery of the products to a carrier for shipment. Title to software will remain with the applicable licensor. Electro Standards' prices do not include shipping and handling charges. Electro Standards reserves the right to use its own discretion in the manner and routing of shipments. Electro Standards shall be permitted to deliver products in separate lots.

Shipping Return Policy

  • To return an item, contact Electro Standards at 401-943-1164 to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. RMA numbers are valid for 30 days after the date of the shipment and cannot be extended or re-issued. We are unable to accept returns without an RMA number.
  • All returns except those of defective product are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and additional charges for handling or freight are refunded only in cases of defective products.
  • Return freight must be shipped prepaid. We recommend that you insure the package as you are responsible for risk of loss on all returned packages. We recommend that all cartons are properly packed as Electro Standards is not responsible for product damaged en route. We do not issue call tags for product returns.
  • Returned product must be clean, undamaged, and complete with all manuals, accessories, documents and packaging. The items must be in a resalable condition.
  • The product must have with it a copy of the original invoice or packing slip and the appropriate RMA paperwork.
  • If your item is not working properly, please contact Electro Standards at 401-943-1164 for help in trouble-shooting your application.
  • If the product is defective, Electro Standards will repair or replace that item (at our discretion) upon receipt and evaluation of the original product.
  • Electro Standards reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days from the invoice date in some cases. If the product is accepted after 30 days, credit will be issued toward future pruchases only and some additional restocking charges may be applied.
  • All credits from RMAs must be used within one calendar year of issue.

 Path Way® Remotely Controllable Network Switch
 Model 7211 Dual Channel DB9 A/B Switch with Remote Contact Control Port
 
 

The PathWay® Model 7211 Dual Channel DB9 A/B Switch allows a device connected to either channel Common port access to its respective A or B port.  The Model 7211 Dual Channel Switch is compactly enclosed in a low profile, 19-inch 1U rack unit.  The unit also allows for both channels to be either switched simultaneously or independently controlled.
 
The network switch may be controlled locally by manually operating the front panel push button or remotely from the DB9 Remote Control port located on the rear of the unit.  The DB9 Remote port provides control by dry contact open/closure logic.
 
 FEATURES:
  • Supports (2) independent channels of A/B switch function.
  • All 9 pins of each channel are switched.
  • Local switching via (2) front panel pushbuttons.
  • (4) Status LED's, A/B, on the front panel indicate the switch position & power status of each channel.
  • A single DB9 female Remote port accepts a straight through DB9 male/male cable to connect to the Model 7211 Remote Unit.
  • This 2-Channel Switch maintains position and signal pathway even if power to the unit is lost.
  • Monitor pins supply the voltage to drive LED indicators at remote location with 5VDC.

  • REMOTE: (1) DB9 female connector on rear panel accepts contact closure transition signals for Remote Control operation.
  • POWER: UL approved 115VAC, 60 Hz wall mount power module supplies 12 VDC, 500mA to the unit.
  • DIMENSIONS: Rackmount 19.0" W x 1.75" H x 8.0" D. (48.3 X 4.4 X 20.3)
  • WEIGHT: Approximately 4.5 lbs. (2.0 kg) 
 OPTION: WIDE RANGE POWER MODULE
(Cat No 517277) CE and UL listed table mount power module, 100 VAC / 240 VAC, 50Hz/60Hz in place of standard 115VAC or 120VAC power module.  Ideal for international applications.
 
APPLICATION: The diagram illustrates a dual channel DB9 A/B Switch sharing a COMMON device between two devices connected to the A and B ports for each channel. Each channel is an independent function.  The DB9 Remote controls the switch using contact closure transition signals.  Model 7211-RU is designed to connect to the DB9 port using  a straight through DB9 male to male cable, Cat No. 990126-XXX.

Model 7211-RU Remote Unit, Rackmount 
The Model 7211-RU Remote Unit, is designed to control the PathWay® Model 7211 Dual Channel DB9 A/B Switch by providing the required contact closure control signals.

FEATURES:
  • Two toggle switches control the two DB9 interface A/B  switch channels
    of the Model 7211.
  • LED indicators display the current position of each switch channel.
  • A transition from contact CLOSE (down) to OPEN (up) of the toggle switch will cause the channel to switch to A.  A transition from contact OPEN (up) to CLOSE (down) of the toggle switch will cause the channel to switch to B.
  • Upon power up, the Model 7211 reads the static contact state.  If OPEN, switch to position A; if CLOSED, switch to position B.  After power up, the unit looks for transitions.
  • A single DB9 female Remote port accepts a straight through DB9 cable.
  • Dimensions: 1.75" H x 8" D x 19" W. (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm)
